Hello, If I can't make it on time to blog before the new year starts, pardon me and..
HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL YOU OUT THERE.

I like this year, and I don't mind going through it all over again. In fact, I want to.

But a new year awaits. :)

(Refer to the picture in the blogskin)
Presenting (from left to right ) :
The brain, the insane, the clueless, the funkaye, the curly, and of course the Jenius ( genius with a J ).

YAY I finally got over my laziness to upload pictures, so now im gonna talk about the trip. :)

Tiger Airways. In Singapore the queue to board the plane is neat and proper.

Chicken AND cheese sandwich, literally.
I got so amused by this.
Train to Hong Kong from GuangZhou.

They serve oishii food on the train.

Hong Kong ( Xmas eve )

Outside the hotel.
I found this cool.

Mtr!

The trains were even more packed than the MRTs here.

A lot a lot a lot a lot of people.

random night shot.

the streets were closed.
ooooooooooooooh.
So we were told that there were too many people at the riverside and the police had to step in to control the crowd. We were really clueless so we just followed the crowd.
so we squished our way through to find only this.
but the view was nice though.
just to prove my point about the number of people there looking at the river?and then when we managed to get out of the place and to the streets, the fireworks display at the riverside started.
SO that was what they were there for.

and more fireworks that lasted for half an hour.
so we walked and we walked.
they had pretty lightings.
parents.
My dad and me.
Catholic church! They conduct exactly the same masses as the ones in Singapore, and it was in english Hallelujah but it was too crowded :(

Christmas day

Christmas was just like another day over there.
The very famous bridge.
hmm.

Hong Kong Disneyland!

I'll update on the rest of the trip soon! For now I gotta go already.

See you all. :)

Well, thanks Kenneth for being concerned about the earthquake thing, thanks to Wf for accompanying me, and thanks to Wr for planning the farewell.

currently, everything feels like hmm, an empty dream?
well the only thing i seek comfort in since i've gotten back to Sg is my home.

The Bottom Line
Be proud of your ideals, even if they are not completely in line with your peers'.

In Detail
When the circumstances of the day require that you make a drastic decision, make what you think is the right choice, not what you think will be the most popular choice. Be proud of your ideals, and don't second-guess yourself. So what if you aren't completely in agreement with your peers? Your opinions are your own, and your goals in life should be, too. Don't let them be influenced by anyone -- even people who seem to be more knowledgeable. Chances are, it's all a big act.

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh.

Some shoutouts before I go off to the airport.

Nicole, thanks for that :D I'll see you in 5 days time, bestfriend & after that, we can go crazy for a few days then we're back to the meet-you-at-the-bus-stop-at-6.50 days. Lots of love.
Abby, thanks for the itinery thing and help me thank your mum for coming down to my house to hand me the paper. I'll see you in hongkong okay. I'll sms your mum once I reach hongkong.
Wan Fong, during the 5 days im away, please don't entertain judy :p plan farewell okay! and remember to tell the juniors about carnival on wednesday!
Winston, have fun in Japan, don't watch too much anime and stay late into the night / morning cos you need sleep to grow taller and I'll see you next year...

Today was a considerably bad day. But it's okay. Christmas is too near for it to be a bad day.

So to all,
MERRY CHRISTMAS 2006.

Lots of love, Imee.
I hope you'd realise how I felt.

This is ALWAYS what happens.
A scenario where you are really really bored to tears to the extent that you don't mind reading through your chinese textbook again and next, there's too much things to do in such a little time.
Time management and ... laziness. What to doooooooo.

So I've finished completed one task and hmmm, two more big tasks to go. One includes packing of my luggage for tomorrow's trip to China. Oh gosh, I really have no idea what to bring over there, really. For all I know, I can't stand the cold very well, so over there I'd look like an overstuffed penguin. Dad said it's 5 degrees celcius over there and that is already bad enough for me.
From Guang Zhou I'd be travelling to Hong Kong by train and my mum expects more people there then in Orchard road now ( I could have bet that half of Singapore's population were in Orchard road this afternoon/evening ) and the streets would be congested but ooooooooooooooooooh, shopping ( and possibly, half a day of shopping and walking around Tsim Sha Tsui with Abbbbbbbbbbby! ) That'd be a great Christmas day.

I'm really tired and burnt now. Got cheated by two taxi drivers today. Bummer.
Carnival today was exhausting, cos we had to be in Damai by 7.15 and practically everyone there were zzz. So I woke up at 7 ( to my horror ) when Wei Rong called me 4 times on my Hp and I didn't feel the vibration at all even though the phone was directly under my pillow. So I rushed.
And discovered that only four of us turned up for carnival. Was quite disappointed about the attendance though. I'm sure few of the B divs could actually make it, but oh nevermind. So we merged with Outram Park Sec. They're a funny bunch of people. It rained, then it stopped. And it went on and everything ended at around 6.

So as I was saying, Orchard road was CONGESTED with people who walk so slowly I probably could walk twice their speed. I took around 20 minutes to treavel from Far East to Takashimaya.

So I'm tired, I can't keep my eyes open for a long time, and I have too much things to do to fall into the temptation of the bed.

Oh yes, I'd be leaving tomorrow already so would probably blog tomorrow again before the flight if I manage to pack everything in time and have extra time which is pretty unlikely, so in the case that I don't blog tomorrow, I'M GONNA MISS ALL YOU PEOPLE. :)

I can stay awake.
I can stay awake.a

I cahjdhs stasydysuy awawake,

When we finally kiss goodnight,
How I'll hate going out in the storm!
But if you'll really hold me tight,
All the way home I'll be warm.

The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we're still good-bying,
But as long as you love me so,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!

Tell me it's snowing outside, and I'm on the couch beside the fireplace, listening to christmas songs on the radio and close to all my loved ones.

By the end of this post, you should have an idea of how christmas spirity we are all in.

Yes, santa hats for $1 each xD

We know what stands out in this picture :)

Us girls.

Walk, walk and walk!

This dude who walks on a stick and goes yea! yea! yea!

So I was just told that we appeared on TV HAHA! If you spot 5 idiots with santa hats walking around Orchard Road, that's definitely us. It's quite sad to know that most Singaporeans do not seem to feel the joy of this occasion, but oh well, as long as we did, it's alright I guess.
( Khaw, I told you I'd blog about this tonight ! )

So we went shopping today. It was like a 50th anniversary outing, just that Wei Rong and Wootnick couldn't make it. Guys will never know why we girls always spend so much time and money while shopping. I love shopping xD I mean I have been constantly window shopping, but only today that I really bought productive stuff. Wf was already buying her New Year clothes lol!

These past few days have been extremely cold. What to do? It's monsoon season after all, rain non-stop. So yesterday we were all soaking wet since training was cancelled and we went to Queensway to check out the price of the netball tee and all. So most of the day was spent ... getting wet. Today I went out of the house all prepared and equipped and it turned out to be a very sunny and warm day.

Met up with Shanti yesterday. That girl is so blur and she took the wrong train FOUR TIMES. It's been so long I've seen her and it's so sweet that she misses us too awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww :D

Alright, looks like I have to go off now. Got a long day tomorrow.
Thanks for today all of you ^^

& thanks for breakfast this morning <3

At the end of this post, I realised that it's a very random one.

Damn, why must the Dessert Galore thing be changed to tomorrow :(

I shall start blogging consistently again before SHEEP hates me for life, and that my posts should contain things that can be READ. Pardon for the previous post where there is a spelling error in the picture but heck, the picture is cute.
I have some more of this kinda thing.

HAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.

Btw the video of Alison and Ivan from SYTYCD below takes quite a while to dance. I think it's a beautiful dance and well, I support the both of them. Speaking of dancing, I STILL WANT TO LEARN BALLROOM DANCING. It's a super elegant dance don't you think. It's not like there'll be time to take dancing lessons next year, but hey, there's always 'After O level'.

Lol BTW SHEEP, the V for Vendetta you burned for me worked just fine, except that the audio lagged seven seconds behind lol ( thanks anyway ^^ ) I'm quite slow at getting the story plot, I admit, so I'd probably watch it again. Okay in my mind I was already working out on the things I wanna blog about, but it disappeared O.O

Anyhoo, By the end of the year, there'll be a list of people to thank up on this blog, and of course the memorable events of 2006.

Gosh, I really can't remember all the things I've been dying to blog about. Does this happen to you too? It better.

Okay this post is filled with really random stuff. So as random as it gets, I'll post some more pictures :)

Shearen and me before snorkelling in Bali :)

Fascinated with the toilet over in Bintan.

Scotland is the loooooooooove.

It seems like this is the only picture of China trip I have left.

Gosh, these four trips have been fabulous. Don't you miss those times? When Wf was sick and wanted Ah Ber's bread? Or when Jo fell asleep in Chinese class? Or when we rode Chubing in Bali and Nicole's toe skin came off? Or when we looked so silly trying to see the vapour when we talked? Or when we played mini soccer in Bintan?
If I haven't thank y'all for all those times, thanks :)

Thanks to everyone in the trips, especially the big group in China ( hungry table rmb? ) where Jo ate many many bowls of rice at one go ( number undisclosed in case of heart attack ) and we always took food from the other tables? There were disagreements about the performance and the project group ended up reciting poems and us ( Michelle, Shearen, Jo, Nicole & I ) danced to "My prerogative". YES that's where we ( I ) got the name for our TS group last year. The first day when we arrived in the hostel where there was quite a scare cos of some alleged encounters with ghosts and Jolene scared the hell outta me that I didn't dare to face the window while I was sleeping. lol. And everytime Ah Ber tried to get us out of bed in the morning, Wf who's always semi-awake, never did reply to all her calls, so I lied down on the top bunk, staring at Wf and always end up the one getting down the ladder to open the door for Ah Ber. And haha, I still remember that the whole group of us always gathered late, so I was appointed as the GROUP LEADER to make sure you guys weren't late haha and the day when the bus was supposed to leave at 7.30 and Nicole & me woke up at 7.11. We literally shoved everything inside our luggage and haha that was really funny I swear. Abby was the mummy of the trip :)

I need help! Anyone who knows of anywhere that prints tee-shirts fora good price? HELP NEEDED. O.O

I like today. :)

2006 is ending in 2 weeks. omg.
i believe there are people that are smart enough out there to invent a time machine right?

i have a sudden urge to say this... BURN NICOLE.
i miss that girl.

I'll be spending X'mas in Hong Kong ... and most likely, it's with Abby!
We'll be staying in the same hotel btw, haha thanks for all the help and if we can, let's go shopping on xmas day, and HAHA, if there's a xmas service / mass there, you know what I'll do :)

I just finished settling the plane tickets and hotel reservation for this trip. My parents trust me to handle stuff like this.

Caught 'The Nativity story' with Vivien today. Did you know Mary gave birth to Jesus in a manger and not a BARN? And that Joseph is a really nice guy who sacrificed his food for his donkey so that it would have the strength to support Mary. The show has slight humour in it ( the three wise men ) and the one who acted as Mary is really pregnant.

I need to stop spending money, but what about breakfast tomorrow. o.o

Somewhere in Jakarta,
[ this is a conversation between Jo and Shearen last night when Jo stayed over at Shearen's house ]
Jo : MWAHAHAHHAHAHAH.
Shearen : Jo, enough la!
Jo : WAHLAO, a mosquito bit my eyebag! O.O
* waves her hand all around and start grabbing shearen's hand while pointing to her mosquito-bitten eyebag.
Shearen : LOL.

.... it's actually a conversation I imagined la, BUT, her eyebag really got bitten by a mosquito [ according to Shearen lol ]

Shearen, I hope you're doing fine over there, coping with Jo and things like that :p Jo... I hope you're doing fine too heeeeeee, I offered to break Sam's legs so that he can get MC to go Jkt but he didn't want to take it. -.-

Meanwhile, In Singapore,
TRAINING WAS FUN TODAY. :D Five C-Divs turned up while 2 B-Divs turned up. Wynne, don't like you la wahlao, I came cos of you and you didn't come in the end. So It was Arina and me combined wityh the Riverside team. It was raining you see, so after probbaly ten minutes of court work ( Bok screamed a lot ), we played games under the shelter. Now when I say game, I mean circuit training, and we have to compete which team will complete it faster. Well, our team won woooooooo. Then we played this butt game where all had to lie down and put your hands up and we have to lift the person up and transport them down to the end of the line. It felt like a full body Osim massage, I like :p Then we tried to pass Mr Bok down ( YES CAN YOU BELIEVE IT ) but it failed. It was too overwhleming for the primary six netballers and then he fell on them. O.O This TKP girl got squashed at the side of the face by him that her lips bled omg. Then we had this bonding game where we stood in a circle and sat on each other's lap and had to sing songs, move to the left and right.

Then after that, Vivien came to fetch me from Damai, ooooh, with a car. Lol, I was really shocked I tell you. My first friend who drives a car ( with a triangle sign of course ) and off we go to church to find Fr.Aloycious to confirm her First Holy Communion. Well, we went for "Advent Penitential Celebration" mass and wel eft halfway cos we weren't ready for confession :(
Katong Laksa, and off we go on the search for my favourtie Plum Juice drink. I could only find it in Cold Storage Katong mall and we passed by the machine where you slot in $1 coin and then you turn the thing and a rubber ball will come out. Well, I wanted a smiley face one and this is what we got.

and then we didn't give up! Sadly,

A sad face, a purple thingy, and a picture seal.

Today has been a fun day, in fact, one of the best days during this whole holiday. :)

Woo, people are in the X'mas mood already :D
I shall put up my xmas tree soon. ( A small one of course with hardly any decorations so I shall go Isetan and buy some ornaments and I wouldn't forget an angel to put on the top )

Anyway, anyone who knows of shops that print tee-shirts cheaper than $15 when you order them in bulk of 15-20? Let me know okay! Thanks lots.

Watch this, it's funny ( and probably true ).

I watched So you think you can dance followed by Girls out loud on Monday. Omg, they're so damn good at dancing it's scary ( I'm referring to the contestants from SYTYCD btw mwaha ) and when Musa got eliminated I really felt sad for him, he's one of the best breakdancers. Girls out loud was... O.o That guy on a blind date with Wendy ( Xia Xue ), he is the guy who offers to 'fix' your eyebrows at Orchard infront of Tangs, right right right?

Was chatting with Shearen online yesterday and then she somehow reminded me about Bali. And when I think of Bali, I think of Bintan, and when I think of Bintan, I think of Nicole, and when I think of Nicole, I think of Scotland, and when I think of Scotland, I think of faraway places that we've been to, and that made me think about the China trip last year.

They all had one thing in common, all were *two thumbs up*.
I'll elaborate more on all the trips when I have the time to! :D

one two three four five six seven ! ♥

Gosh, I miss hanging out with all of you people.

Petula Clark / Emma Bunton
"Downtown"
(1964)

When you're alone
And life is making you lonely,
You can always go downtown
When you've got worries,
All the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know, downtown

Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city
Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty
How can you lose?

The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares and go
Downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown, no finer place for sure,
Downtown, everything's waiting for you
(Downtown)

Don't hang around
And let your problems surround you
There are movie shows downtown
Maybe you know
Some little places to go to
Where they never close downtown

Just listen to the rhythm of a gentle bossanova
You'll be dancing with 'em, too, before the night is over
Happy again

The lights are much brighter there
You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares and go
Downtown where all the lights are bright,
Downtown, waiting for you tonight,
Downtown, you're gonna be alright now
(Downtown downtown)

Downtown
(Downtown)

And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you
Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand to
Guide them along

So, maybe I'll see you there
We can forget all our troubles, forget all our cares and go
Downtown, things'll be great when you're
Downtown, don't wait a minute more,
Downtown, everything's waiting for you

Downtown (downtown) downtown (downtown)
Downtown (downtown) downtown (downtown)
(repeat and fade out)

You know the Pasir Ris song? Yep, this one.

Who wouldn't like christmas songs? :D

Original plan today was to play badminton in the morning, BUT, the court was booked for folks dance class zzz so we made ourselves comfortable in Marine Parade Library instead. That lazy Abby couldn't get her ass outta bed :p I finished reading the whole book on Christianity, sports, Sports as a career and Rome.

After that got home and wanted to sleep, but in the end decided to go watch the finals for Four Nations Netball Cup. Got myself ready in 15 mins for a certain someone ( I don't want to name names ah ) who told me to be there in half an hour, in the end I forgot to bring the newspaper clip for Wei Rong to see ( you know the one where it has Linda's puffed up face on it? yeah that one ). Well, Fullerton Hotel is beautiful, and the toilets are mmm, nice.

Singapore is the overall champion, with Papua New Guinea coming in second, Scotland third, and Canada fourth. Wei Rong and me stayed back to try to take pictures with the Team Singapore players.

Attempted to take pictures with Li Ling and Zhang TingJun but they were surrounded by many many many many many many many many many people :(

Well, Wei Rong, thanks for today and the ride home! :D
I'll be seeing you again TOMORROW for C.O.P.E!

Please don't screw up tomorrow. T.T

Did you know... there's a "Tagore street" in Singapore?

I've been having the weirdest dreams nowadays and it takes me around an hour to fall asleep especially when I'm exceptionally tired.

Dream #1 was regarding the arcade game - Time Crisis. Wanfong and me were in a real life time Crisis and our guns were ahem, iPod earphones and our reloading thing was of course, our iPods. Towards the ending, i panicked cos my iPod had very little battery left and we were enterign the woods to fight the monsters from "House of the dead". I woke up confused.

Dream #2 was about Justin Khaw, Abby and a few other people. We had to sneak at the backyard of my Indo house and my grandma was watching cartoon in the living room and we almost got busted. We were playing shadow games outside my kitchen, with Justin and me making shadows of ducks and then my maid helped us escaped and voila, we were in Singapore. My mum said I laughed out loud in my sleep.

Dream #3 had my mum and me inside. We were in some turtle conservation park ah ( must be because of UWS work attachment ) and then we were squatting down and I was telling her all about that turtle species. Then this crocodile appeared out of nowhere and climbed out of the river. So my mum stumbled and fell and I was trying to distract the croc. But my mom just wouldn't get up and run away. -.- So in this dream I was playing hero, and then the best part is that I htrew my pillow into the river hawhaw but the croc just wouldn't budge. So I ahem, wrestled it to the tree and then I used some kind of catapult to kill it. I don't know whether it got killed or not.. can't remember.

Dream #4 seemed like a scene from the movie "Saw". Nicole and me were having a vacation in... Singapore. We went our own ways and were supposed to meet at Candy Emipre in Raffles city and I just couldn't find it. So I ran and ran and opened a lot of those metal doors you see in horror movies and I couldn't find my way out. zzz.

Dream #5 had Nicole inside again. This was the best dream of all cos we went to Bintan again :D

Someone explain why I've been having these kinda dreams.

Singapore won the match again Scotland yesterday. It was quite close I suppose? Well, finals tomorrow! Wynne Tay, you're the noisiest person I know :p

I'm in a Christmas mood, are you?

I've warned all my friends and neighbours,
Better watch out for yourselves.
They should never give a license,
To a man who drives a sleigh
and plays with elves.

cos...

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas Eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
But as for me an' Grandpa, we believe.

I feel like.... I feel like...... playing badminton and... eating goreng pisang. o.o

I took quite a long time just to edit my blogskin zzz. Well, yeah so now the background's changed, and the microphone's gone.
Voila.

Gotta be on my way to training pretty soon, and it looks like it's gonna rain.. right?

The plan to zoo yesterday backfired so we ended up catching a movie instead. "Deck The Halls" is a relatively hmm, not-so-worth-your-money show. Abby and Nicole made a new imaginary friend, and if you can see him, you're crazy. -.-

Caught the Four Nations Netball League yesternight with Donna, Abby, Rui Wen and Wei Rong. It's weird to be surrounded by so many netballers, and that explains why there are actually guys there hmm. The shooters are like.. whoa. Gonna catch Singapore Vs Scotland match tonight with the netballers. Hehe, you know who I'm gonna be supporting yes. :p

Thanks Winnie, for coming down all the way to Toa Payoh yesternight after your work. :)

A few shoutouts to a few people.
Bryan : Thanks for the music sheets!
Nicole : Miss Ng ah, ZOO ah.
Donna : Keep Thomas at home next time okay. :)

The rose by Westlife.

Some say love it is a river
that drowns the tender reed
Some say love it is a razor
that leaves your soul to bleed

Some say love it is a hunger
an endless aching need
I say love it is a flower
and you it’s only seed

It’s the heart afraid of breaking
that never learns to dance
It’s the dream afraid of waking that never takes the chance
It’s the one who won’t be taken
who cannot seem to give
and the soul afraid of dying that never learns to live

When the night has been too lonely
and the road has been too long
and you think that love is only
for the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter far beneath the bitter snows
lies the seed
that with the sun’s love
in the spring
becomes the rose

---------------------------

The original version was sung by Bette midler and it's nicer compared to the Westlife version but her video's a bit weird, so I chose this one instead.

I've been spending my time practising my piano piece for this Sunday and oh my oh my. Anyway, does anyone know of any website that provides free music sheet for piano for modern songs and things like that? If you do, please let me know okay :D

Anyway. this may be a bit late but, 50th anniversary is over. For pictures, refer to Amirul's, Justin K's, Wan fong's, Wei Rong's ( one picture lol ), Leon's blog. Ushering didn't turn out like we expected it to be. Well the guests ignored us. -.- I saw Mr Seelan anyway! haha. Saw familiar people like Ming Hong, William, and sec fours, Shanti and gang, Miswan and gang. lol. When the concert started, the pre-concert segment people got chased out of school and we were never allowed back in even though we went back at around 10 +. Before that I joined The NZ presentation pple, Justin K and Terence in Day & night. Laughed till my sides hurt.

I haven't been going out much, man. Girls, let's go to the zoo someday, Beebee can't wait for that :D lol.

I have this friend who is crazy enough to run 42km. ( approx 5hr plus. ) Wan sui, man.
